December 2022 – Web site performance and property dialog improvements

Dear customers,

This latest update includes details of major improvements to the performance of the web site as well as a couple of additions to the property details pages.

Web site performance

Due to continued growth in customer numbers and activity, the SmartPropertyManager.com application web site had been experiencing occasional slowness over previous months. To address this, we have recently migrated the web site to a more modern deployment platform in our data centre, the result of which is that it is now much more responsive, in particular during peak working hours. In addition, the new deployment platform will allow us to more easily scale as we add new customers which should make it easier for us to maintain good performance as we continue to grow.

As well as moving to a new deployment platform, we also continue to identify slow pages and optimize them. Recently we made a couple of improvements to significantly speed up initial log in to the home page as well as export of large documents.

Property image gallery

It is now possible to easily view all the images uploaded as attachments to a property unit. The Property Details dialog now has a new tab called Image Gallery. Clicking on this will display a gallery of the images saved as attachments to the property unit – as shown in the following screenshot:

This improvement makes it very easy to manage and browse the collection of photos attached to a property unit.

Property purchase details

We have extended the information that can be recorded against a property unit to capture more purchase details and to provide a link for adding purchase documents as attachments. The following screenshot shows the updated page:
