October 2026 – Revenue by Property Unit and security improvements

This month brings a clearer view of property revenue, an MTD quarterly update reminder, and safer, more reliable sessions.

Revenue by Property Unit Report

The new Revenue by Property Unit report brings income due and income received into one view. See what has been paid, spot gaps, and identify property units or tenancies that need follow-up.

Choose the property units and dates you want to review, then compare totals by property unit, tenancy, or both. Select a row to see the payments due and received behind its figures. Filter by charge type, then print or export the report to Excel when you need to work with the results.

MTD property update: due 7 November

If you use Making Tax Digital for Income Tax with standard tax-year periods, the next quarterly update covers 6 April to 5 October 2026. You can submit it after the period ends; HMRC’s deadline is 7 November 2026.

Put the property records you already keep to work. SmartPropertyManager calculates the income and expense figures for your update and shows the transactions behind them, so you can check the numbers before submitting directly to HMRC. Our step-by-step guide covers setup and submission.

Safer sessions, fewer interruptions

To help protect your account, SmartPropertyManager now warns you shortly before your session expires after a period of inactivity, then signs you out. You get a clear heads-up before you need to sign in again.

We’ve also fixed unexpected sign-outs during active use, including a Safari sign-in issue, so your work is less likely to be interrupted.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on new features and improvements. Please email contact@smartpropertymanager.com if you have any questions or suggestions.

Best regards,
SPM Team
