March 2026 – SmartPropertyManager.com & Making Tax Digital – Live

We’re pleased to announce that SmartPropertyManager’s Income Tax MTD feature is now generally available for all customers.

Following a successful early rollout, customers can now connect to HMRC and use SmartPropertyManager for the core Income Tax MTD journey directly from the same system they already use to manage their records.

What’s new

Over the past months we’ve been hard at work building and testing SmartPropertyManager’s integration with HMRC’s Income Tax MTD service. We’re delighted to confirm that:

  • HMRC has recognised SmartPropertyManager as meeting the technical requirements for integration with the Income Tax MTD service — meaning our software can be trusted to work with HMRC’s Making Tax Digital system.
  • We have completed the core development work on the integration and rolled it out for customers to begin using in preparation for the 2026 MTD deadlines.

What this means for you

Once connected to HMRC through SmartPropertyManager:

  • You can prepare and submit quarterly updates to HMRC directly from SmartPropertyManager.
  • The figures are calculated from the records you already maintain in the system, helping to reduce manual effort and duplication.
  • You can move into Income Tax MTD with confidence using software designed specifically for property management.

This general availability release is an important milestone in our Income Tax MTD roadmap. It gives customers a practical, ready-to-use foundation today, and we’ll continue extending the feature over the next few months with further improvements and additional capabilities.

Our goal has always been to make tax compliance as smooth and efficient as possible, and this latest milestone is a big step toward that. We’ll continue improving the experience and sharing updates as we go.
