Many landlords need to manage details of rent payable in arrears - for example, it's common for housing benefit tenants to pay in arrears. it is now possible to do this explicitly for those tenancies.

When creating a new tenancy record a new checkbox is available for marking the rent as being payable in arrears as shown in the following screenshot:

The setting for rent payable in arrears can be controlled for individual rent charges, which means you can easily deal with tenancies which switch between rent being payable in arrears or rent being payable in advance. The following screenshot shows the new setting when creating a new rent charge:

The home page includes a list of tenancies and, for each one, key information as to the last payment made and next payment due. We've now added a link to display an options dialog to control which items of information are displayed for tenancies. In addition, it's now possible to display the total amount due for the next payment (as opposed to what is displayed by default which is the first single payment due).
